Meininger Hotel Wien (Hauptbahnhof) review

Meiniger Hotel

Inca de cand am plecat in calatorie in decembrie mi-am propus sa scriu cat mai mult despre aceasta experienta.

Hotelul l-am ales deoarece, a long time ago, cand am fost intr-o alta excursie absolut geniala, in Munchen, am stat intr-un alt hotel Meininger si mi-a placut la nebunie.

Avand in vedere pretul parcarii publice in timpul saptamanii in Viena, va recomand parcarea la hotel.

Meiniger Hotel

eNGLISH VERSION OF THE STORY :d

I honestly wouldn’t have done this post in English also if it wasn’t for Flavius. He has a way of pushing me to do exactly the thing I need to do, but am to lazy to actually do it :D. So here goes.

While we were away on our Christmas market rumble last december we decided to stay at the Meininger Hotel (Hauptbahnhof) for our Vienna night. It was my pick because I was familiar with the Meiniger Hotel chain from another trip way back in the day, when I was accomodated in one in Munchen. The experience then was really good, so why not try the one near the Vienna trainstation this time around.

LocaTION

For our Christmas market rumble, we traveled by car, so we were completely dependet on GPS the entire time. Thus it was very easy for us to get to the Meiniger Hotel. Still, I can safely safe that the location was pretty cool because it was only 3 minutes away from the subway station and there were a lot of fast food joints in the area (at which we did not eat :))), a market and all kinds of other stores, bigger or smaller.

Regarding the parking at the location, the hotel has underground parking for a fee of only 12 euros per night. This is not very much considering the cost of parking in Vienna during the week, but in the weekend parking is free. So if you visit on Saturday and Sunday you can try and park on the street.

The vibe

Meininger Hotel has an amazing vibe. The rooms are very spacious, including the bathroom. Everything is really clean and warm. And the beds areto die for. The 60 euros we paid here were the best spent from all our trip. We definitely got our money’s worth and more.

The team and other services

Meiniger Hotel as the friendliest staff. They greeted us smiling, helped us with all the information we needed, gave us maps of the city on which they marked the most beautiful Christmas markets in the city. They were just great.

In the morning, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel, so we would start the day propperly. There were a lot of options: salami, cheese, fruit jam, honey, chocolate, tea, vegetables, cereal and others. It was great, but we are Romanias and eat a lot :)))). So we would have liked something fried. But we were pretty full when we got up from the table. So all was well.

i usually have a mark with my review and this time it’s a 10

Hope my review has been helpful and that you will decide to follow my recommandation for yor next Vienna trip.
